Keep Your Family Healthy

Get Your Kids Vaccinated Today!

We know it’s hard to come to us, so we’re coming to you! Keep your kids healthy, and get them the vaccines they need to protect them against illnesses such as Measles, Flu and Whooping Cough at one of our SAFE vaccination locations in your community. There are currently 85 schools in Denver that do not meet our goal of 95% vaccination coverage. We hope that by offering these clinics in the community, we can help get more kids in Denver up-to-date on their vaccines, and protected against illness.

Vaccines are SAFE, they WORK and we offer them at NO COST to you.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

What if I don’t have health insurance for my kids? Can they still get the shots they need?

Yes! Denver Public Health offers immunizations to anyone regardless of insurance or ability to pay.

Someone I know got the flu shot and got sick, can the flu shot give my kids the flu?

No, flu vaccines cannot cause flu illness. Flu shots (given with a needle) are made with either inactivated (killed) viruses, or with only a single protein from the flu virus. The nasal spray vaccine contains live viruses that are attenuated (weakened) so that they will not cause illness.

My kids are healthy and have never been seriously sick. Do they still need to get vaccinated?

Yes. Vaccinating your child is one of the most important things you can do to protect their health. Kids are particularly vulnerable to vaccine-preventable diseases because their immune systems are less developed and less able to fight off infection. Vaccines offer long-last immunity and help keep our kids safe and healthy.

How do I find out what vaccines my kid(s) already have, and/or what vaccines they may need?

In Colorado, you can request your child’s vaccination record through the Colorado Immunization Information System (CIIS).
